What song should i sing for the school musical audition?
Q. We are performing the musical "How to suceed in business without even trying." I never heard of it, so i don't know any of those songs. And i have no clue what to sing!!! Hairspray? High school musical? A pop song? Seasons of love? AIN'T no mountain high enough? i have no clue!!! Someone please help me!

What Do you Think Of High School Musical 4 without the original cast?
Q. I have been lucky enough to see High School Musical 3 before it being released and there are a few new characters in it that are rumoured to do HSM 4 without Zac and the gang. I think this is ridiculous because it's not High School Musical if there isnt Troy and Gabriella. I think the Disney People are just too greedy - the first three films were good and the end of the third one kind of rounds it all off. I personally don't think it's a good idea. What do you think?

A. i agree with you. Disney tries to capitalize on sequels but most of them are never as good as the original. I like HSM 2 better than HSM. But a fourth movie is ridiculous. My son thinks high school is going to be like High School Musical. What should I do?
Q. He is currently an 8th grader, but thinks that high school is going to be like High School Musical, with the singing and dancing and harmony and all. He keeps practicing his singing at all times of the night and he's really excited about it. Now the reality is that we live in the rougher part of town, and he will go to a "rougher" high school which will certainly not be HSM. I don't want to crush his hopes (he is a very sensitive boy) but he needs a reality check. What should I do?

A. Sing something familiar but not what all of your friends are going to be singing. Make sure it's something that you are comfortable with and most of all, something you enjoy and relate to. The more feeling you have when singing, the more convincing performance. "Castle on a Cloud" is from Les Miserables and is very easy to sing, while it sounds pretty and should showcase your alto voice fairly well. "Anything But Lonely" from "Aspects of Love" is one of my all time favorites. "The Scarlet Pimpernel" has a TON of wonderful audition pieces in it as well. Download some music off the net, and find something you really like. Pick out about 16-25 bars (30secs-1min) of the song. You don't want to bore your auditioner so pick the best… [cont.]
