What are some trading cards cards for girls?
Q. I have my mom's permission to be on her yahoo account since i'm 12. I was wondering what are some trading cards for girls? I don't really like sports ones, bella sarah, pokemon, or american girls. I defiantly don't want webkinz trading cards. I like animals specially horses and dogs. I want to collect trading cards that are easy to find like in target or something. I would also like there to be a big selection of trading cards like pokemon. Do u have any suggestions?

How to make trading cards holographic?
Q. I want to know how to make trading cards (like yugioh or magic the gathering cards) holographic. I would also like to know what kind of pens to use to color in cards, and if there is some way I can use a white (but enough to where lines show) background in order to be able to color in cards better. Thanks.
Asked by Sasha K - Tue May 22 20:45:30 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Making a card holographic requires a great deal of money and sophisticated machinery. The foiling is added during the card making process and simply can't be replicated by hand. I guess you could use pens with metallic ink to mimic foiling but it wouldn't have the polish of real foiling.

A. Use a product called Goof Off, it will disolve the glue. Be sure to test it first, it may result in a slightly lighter area on the card where the sitcker was.

What should i use to print trading cards?
Q. i wanted to make some trading cards, similar to Yu-Gi-Oh, but with pictures of my friends etc, just as a commererative gift of our times together. what should i print the cards on?
Asked by Cazzah - Tue May 5 11:23:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments

A. I'd suggest card stock. You can pick it up at office max, it's a thick, greeting-card like paper that easily runs through most printers. You can usually pick up small amounts of it for a couple bucks. Something like this... But you can usually get lesser amounts in-store.

A. Toys 'R' Us I was about to get them but you would only use them a couple times until you're a ninja and then not do anything so I suggest you play the normal way.

A. I'm sorry this isn't very informative, but local malls and shopping centers usually have collectors come out for swap meets every few months or so. Find out when one is and take them with you and see if they can't give you a price on them. I found out an old baseball card I had was worth $550 from one of those shop owners. Sold it on e-bay the very next day.

How to ship trading cards on ebay?
Q. How should I package like 50 trading cards? I want to make sure they get shipped to the buyer in mint condition. What's the cheapest and reliable method?
Asked by Tag - Sun Aug 2 23:48:12 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Bubble tape them and send in box via USPS. 1st Class Mail is cheapest and I would highly recommend paying 80 cents for the delivery confirmation service. There is also flat rate boxes that are free if you use their Priority Mail.

Does anyone know of a good way to sell sports trading cards in Europe, particularly in Germany?
Q. I have a lot of baseball, football, basketball, hockey, and various other trading cards. I have thought about selling on ebay but I don't think that there would be too much interest in them when people consider the shipping charges, also it seems that when I looked in the past that people really weren't bidding too much. When I looked at eBay in the past it seemed that there wasn't so much bidding on cards and shipping would be a turn off to most that might buy. I think that I'd have a better chance selling to Americans that are over here, but I don't have access to military bases (especially in the post 9/11 era). I wouldn't be opposed to placing a classified but the newspaper or magazine would need to reach an audience that wants… [cont.]

How to classify World of Warcraft Trading cards?
Q. Hey there folks! Well, I'm used to collecting Yu-GI-Oh! Cards, but recently my friend gave me some Wow trading cards for my birthday and I figured "why not start collecting these too?" And so, here is my predicament: I don't know how to classify these cards! Is there anyone here who can help me?
Asked by Jason C - Wed Jan 28 19:52:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. When you look at the bottom fo the cards, it will tell you what deck it is from, it will say Illidan, Drums, Azeroth, etc for the different card sets they have produced However, when you look at the cards, they are color coded. A white is the most common card there is. Green is uncommon. Blue is Rare, Purple is Epic Orange are Legendary, and usually reserved for LOOT cards which are redeemable for in game rewards depending on the deck set in which the loot card comes from. So Basically there are 3 sets of cards within the set, however, Collecting them all for every set will probably be almost impossible without spending alot of money as Purple Epic and… [cont.]

How would i send trading cards that i sold off ebay?
Q. I'm selling trading cards of ebay and i was wonder if i should just send them in a regular envelope with a first class stamp or do something else?
Asked by Tyler H - Wed Jan 23 22:32:45 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You need to protect them from damage, and a regular envelope won't get the job done. Read many past card auctions to see what type of packaging sellers use before you get started, or your time on ebay will be short and your reputation poor.

A. It sounds like these are whole or partial sets of artist trading cards. Try a search on both Craig's List and Ebay using the artist's name and the word card for a rough idea as to the price. Full sets including the check off card are worth more tha partial and the newer the better. Good luck.

How do you open a successful business of trading cards? Any advice?
Q. I want to open a business that sells different kinds of trading cards (baseball, football, etc...) are there any specific ways to opening one, and where do I get my inventory?? I'm only in high school at the time but I feel that this is what I would like to do in my life...And also what should my major be in college if I want to open my own business?? Thanks!

A. Nice question, and if you wanna startup your own business regardless of doing trading cards, you should definintely go into Business Management or Entreprenuerialship (Which is normally a part of Business Management). About the trading cards, Im in college and really cards have been suffering. However, I worked in the rare coin industry and that worked (I know boring!). I also found out theres a grading company for trading cards, so if your cards are in excellent condition and you have some rare ones you should send those into a grading service so the former price will almost certainly rise. If you can find a way to market cards like they were 10 years ago where everone got them and wanted more you should come up with a really unique… [cont.]

Will trading card shops buy my old Pokemon cards?
Q. I have a binder full of Pokemon cards..last time I checked, there were over 400. I have some from the first few series, and a couple complete or near-complete collections. These cards honestly don't hold any sentimental value for me at all, so I don't mind selling them. Will trading card shops buy them, then? And will keeping some for a few more years increase their value, or does it not matter? Thanks!
Asked by Sincerely, Alison. - Fri Oct 9 15:31:25 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It doesn't hurt to find out. If the Shop does not buy them, approach the Players over there (better would be if you directly go to Hobby Store) and see if they need any of your Cards. Alternatively, if there is a Weekly Flea-Market in your vicinity, set up a Stall there and sell the Cards off in that way.
